All vehicle rentals in Westhoughton come with a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This agreement outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for the rental. In cases of discrepancy between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Westhoughton office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless further protection is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, irrespective of any insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Amendments
Cancellation and amendment policies are dependent on the type of booking and the advance notice provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous pursuits. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is strictly forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it was not designed for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Driving outside the agreed geographical area requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Westhoughton will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business related to your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will be capped at the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for fraudulent activities.
